I have lived in Loughborough all my life and have a wide local knowledge through family, friends, past and present work contacts. When completing school I was keen to start work initially gaining an apprenticeship for motor vehicle mechanics from the age of 16. During this time obtained work for a short time but as you know poor students need second jobs! So I quickly found work and after a short amount of time came to manage a large fast food franchise, later becoming a franchisee of which I found a passion of working with people from all walks of life and successfully running businesses to a high standard.
During working years I met my wife and we now have two lovely children, Luke, 12, who is a talented goalkeeper and Jennifer, 10, who aspires to be a writer. Me personally love my football! Im a season ticket holder of Nottingham Forest and other free time of course is spent with family.
It was 7 years ago I was first introduced to this industry, thoroughly enjoyed the work, the challenges and realised the importance surrounding the gritting industry. My aim is to continue working with a dedicated team so we can continue to deliver a top service.

Having lived in the Soar Valley since the age of 9 it has become home and after graduating from Loughborough University my life has been spent in and around Leicestershire (apart from a few years enjoying the sun in Southern Spain).
Winter maintenance has been an integral part of my life for the last nine years following a career in Sales & Recruitment. Delivering exceptional customer service is the passion which drives our business. As a business, we are growing and expanding year on year; maintaining an ethical and customer focussed service, we are always changing and evolving; working with our customers as a ‘partner’ allows us to focus on our clients business safety by ensuring that their people are safe.
Environmental issues are close to my heart and the circular economy is a way forward for all and I believe that we are all responsible for our environment both locally and nationally.
I enjoy watching sport of all types but am passionate about Cricket – Leicestershire County Cricket & England Cricket; Rugby Union – Leicester Tigers & our National Team; and Football – Wolverhampton Wanderers (Courtesy of my dad!!) and of course, our National Team.
I enjoy meeting new people and developing relationships and am generally not shy!
